The STOKR, 'Scenic Tour of the Kootenai River', bike ride is held each year on the second full weekend in May.
The STOKR Loop was created as a fundraising ride for the Libby and Troy Habitat for Humanity. STOKR has two routes to choose from, a 45 mile route and a 98 mile route. The 98 mile route follows the Kootenai River, flows through the scenic Yaak valley, and races down the Pipe Creek Pass. Once the route turns onto the Yaak Highway riders may only see 5-10 cars for the remainder of the ride. Along the route, riders will enjoy four amazing food stops including the infamous pie stop. Registration opens in February and closes in March. The ride is limited to 450 riders.
