These beautiful and pristine falls are located just 6 north miles off US HWY 2. The undeveloped trailhead starts at the back of the campground and is just a short 1/4 mile hike down a rocky trail to the falls. Yaak Falls, with the Kootenai National Forest as the background, tumbles down a glimmering bedrock surface of green Precambrian mudstone. The spring and early summer are the best times to visit the falls and adjoining campground.
