Libby Montana is a newly discovered biking mecca for both road biking and mountain biking. Singletrack trail begins at the radio repeater on Sheldon Mountain, just outside of Libby, MT. The upper portion of the trail follows classic singletrack through ponderosa pines.
To access the trail, head south from Libby on US Highway 2. Turn left onto Farm-to-Market Rd. Shortly after crossing Libby Creek, turn left onto Swede Mountain Road (Forest service Road 533).
If you only have a couple days to ride in the Libby/Troy area this trail is one not to miss. The uphill is a bit of a grind, but the downhill is well worth the efforts.
From the Stein's parking lot in Troy turn right onto HWY 2. Go 10.7 miles then turn right onto Yaak River Road. Go 15.6 miles. Turn left and park at the Redtop Creek Campground.
